Project based on an epic poem from Luís de Camões, Lusiadas. By bringing some of the Portuguese culture to England it was decided to have the first three stanzas of the poem, as they glorify the Portuguese people and their maritime discoveries in the past.
Besides the poem, I chose to work also with something that represents the Portuguese culture: tiles. The tiles in this project not only are mixed with the poem, but are also more than just ceramic with patterns. The tiles are more than tiles; they are also a typeface created to give an interesting visualization of the gallery.
Hierarchy of information was important, as I wanted to show the visual impact that typography can have in an installation when people walking pass through it.
